A Video Review by Medicated Squirrel of the April CBD Health Box
YouTube has recently eliminated multiple accounts which focused on cannabis content.
This mass dismal of numerous long-standing accounts took the cannabis community by surprise and was done without notice or explanation.
The mass forced exodus of cannabis-related accounts even included big players such as Leafly.
Speculation is that it was related to an equally massive departure of advertisers from YouTube. These advertisers didn’t want their ads associated with any questionable content online. This event has been referred to in the YouTube community as the Adpocalypse and you can read all of the juicy details on it here.
Strangely, this only seemed to alter certain accounts, while others still carry on unaffected. See more information on this troubling occurrence here.
Some videos which contained reviews of CBD Health Box were also affected. Luckily, some weren’t.
Here is a review by Medicated Squirrel on the April CBD Health Box. If you haven’t checked out Medicated Squirrel’s channel, we highly recommend it. He does a great job with this review in really breaking down the benefits of this subscription box and we loved watching his thoughts on the CBD Health Box.
As a side note, many of those YouTube contributors who were unjustly banned from YouTube have since moved to a new platform called The WeedTube. We encourage the community to head over there and support this new video community for cannabis content.
The reality of the matter is that because cannabis content creators have been banned from so many platforms – including being able to advertise their content through traditional Internet avenues such as Google Adwords, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
Now the cannabis community has came together to create their own advertising networks, video platforms and so on. One day cannabis will become legal federally and YouTube will be begging to get back in on the cannabis content. The question is, will we receive them with open arms?
